Writing Therapy for Healing

If you feel sick or there is something wrong in your body, you should write complaints in positive words in your personal diary or blog. Studies show writing has the power to cure and alleviate disease.
This is what a cancer survivor who is also an author, Amanda Enayati. When cancer is diagnosed, the first thing he did was call my husband and his family, because he felt unable to bear grief alone.Then the second thing he did was write on the blog with the paper entitled 'The Second Half of My Life'.According to him, writing is a basic human need to tell a story, including his life story.This can reduce stress levels which ultimately could alleviate the suffering he felt.A study by Dr. James Pennebaker, professor and chair of the Department of Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, also found a correlation between traumatic experiences and the increasing number of health problems.In the first study, published in 1986, Dr. Pennebaker learn how to write and reveal secret trauma that can help alleviate a person's disease.
Dr. Pennebaker made the two groups are divided into groups and write a complaint or trauma as a control group for comparison.The result, six months later the group that wrote the story of traumatic experience decreased levels of disease compared with a control group who did not write about traumatic.In another study in the 1990s, people with AIDS who wrote the story about the diagnosis and how AIDS affects their lives, it can have a beneficial increase in white blood cell counts and decreased virus.Study after study by Dr. Pennebaker made him conclude that the negative experiences in writing the words seem to have a positive effect on the physical and psychological.Dr. Pennebaker also learn how the nuances of how writing can help people to recover.One of them is able to write positive things in his writings, such as 'love', 'caring', 'happy' and 'joy', which seems more useful than others.
